panasonic dvd-ram drivers

VDR has M50PP vid cam pulling mini hard disk. Panasonic offers a disc with a program to turn off the camera computer, but it is very difficult to use. I bought Ulead Movie Studio 5 to use for editing. Cam USB cable and one with S-Video + RCA component. disk and the USB driver Software DVD-RAM. USB DRVR loaded into the computer. U can not find the cause. I think USB is more PIX Qual RCA or S-video (?) How I can get Ulead and cam to work? XP Software has taken a stab at it and you are treated as a single picture vid!
I thought that the VDR-M50PP recorded mini DVD instead of HD? If so, can just put the DVD in your PC drive and copy it to your hard disk.
